 Code name KUMI Rotor
 Code name KUMI Motor

When these types of things are done, the Motor gets damaged.

① Over tightening the Grip End Screw

・Why are there 4 Grip End Screws?
Motor damage frequently occurs when the Grip End Screws are screwed on too tightly.
As it will be described later; while operating the weapon, the Grip area of the under goes
a tremendous load. Therefore, it is understandable that some may feel the urge to strongly
tighten the Grip End Screws, however these screws were "meant to be lightly screwed on
which is why 4 screws exist", and not "these 4 screws exist because they need to be tightened".
Please take caution. Our policy on tightening the screws at our factory is; torque rating of 0.9 N/m.
For those who are uneasy about this procedure please use a thread adhesive.

We used to, at one point use thread adhesive, however due to the end users misunderstanding
of the strength in the tightening torque used, we currently do not use any thread adhesive.

・Precision is needed when soldering the Motor Cord.
We believe that the end users lack of knowledge into the precision necessary to properly solder
the Motor Cord is the fundamental problem. Due to improper soldering, what would have normally
been able to fit into the original position, the cord no longer fits, thus it becomes incapable of fitting
in the preset area within the grip end; this improper positioning is the catalyst for the damage to the
motor. While examining the pictures in the assembly manual, please keep in mind the precision
needed to undergo this procedure. In addition, we strongly prohibit the use of changing out the
Motor Cord to a thicker cord, or adding a film over the cord as well as inserting additional insulation.

② Damage to the Motor caused by the use of a Grip from an outside company.

・Why is it so difficult to put the OEM Grip on?
We imagine many people find it difficult to put the Grip on when assembling the Challenge Kit.
The material used for the molding for the P.T.W. Grip is nylon containing 50% Glass Fiber. There is
a logical reason to design and produce the Grip with such strict tolerances during the molding process.
The foundation of handling the recent Assault Rifle centers on the Grip. In other words, in spite of the
Grip being a very sensitive part, it incorporates the motor, which carries the burden of the biggest load
when operating the weapon. To be able to bear that load, the Motor itself must improve upon its own
rigidity thus becoming one structure with the Grip, furthermore with the proper sizing between the Grip
and the Lower Receiver, the Grip becomes an even more rigid component. Therefore it is clear that, a
Grip with no thickness, poor rigidity used material, low precision and poorly managed dimension control;
is a bad choice. When this type of Grip is used, and this gap becomes noticeable, the natural tendency
is to tighten the Grip End Screws; (as stated earlier) the notion that this will solve the problem will only
cause damage to the Motor, therefore we recommend to refrain from tightening.

③ Poor adjustment of the Rotor Shims

・Are you adding more Shims to the Rotor then necessary?
One piece of Shim is attached to Code name KUMI Rotor.
It is necessary for this Shim to be used for the Code name KUMI Type 490 Motor. At the time of assembly,
please do not add Shims to the Rotor to fill the gap between the Motor and the thrust direction; as this can be
connected to damage of the motor. The thrust for the Code name KUMI Motor has a gap necessary to work
with a minimum noise. Please be warned that this dimension cannot be improved upon by the end users level.

で掲載しちゃいましたけど(汗;;;
