KAC - Knight's Armament URX 4 IBN Rail 5.56mm 14.5" Length

The URX 4 is a continuous top-rail system that utilizes the Keymod mounting brackets developed by
Vltor and Noveske. This rail system is built stronger and more stable than previous designs due to
the absence of a removable bottom rail. The modular layout allows an end user to fully customize
exactly where to place accessories without the use of specialized tools, small parts, or additional
forces applied to the barrel.

The URX 4 is currently available for 5.56 rifles in 8.5”, 10”, 13”, and 14.5” lengths, and is equipped
with Knight’s unique IBN mounting configuration. The idea was to create a more modular, and thus
more serviceable, rail system that still maintains its strength and stiffness. Th IBN system torques the
rail onto the weapon and allows the rail to act as the barrel nut. This design was developed to increase
stabilization and provide a simpler solution that requires less specialized tools to install and maintain.
A full array of modular accessories, iron sights, and panel kits utilizing the Keymod mounting brackets
have been developed specifically to accompany this rail system. With the introduction of the URX 4,
Knight’s Armament Co. demonstrates its continuing determination to intelligently design effective products.

It is not suggested to use this rail with a 14.5" or shorter barrel unless using a muzzle device such as the
AAC flash hider which can be installed from the end with a tool.

システマ製PSG-1用Special　GEAR　Set

家にあるデッドストックのPSG-1を少し触ってみようかと思ってネットで色々探した
のですが、PSG-1用のパーツってあまり見つからないのでダメ元でSYSTEMAに
問い合わせてみたらこのギアセットがありました。

一年ほど前にお客様からの注文でPSG1用ピストンを数個注文したのですが今
はピストン単体は既に無く欲しい場合はギアセットにピストン付いてますよって事
で(汗)

ときどき勘違いしている人が居ますがTW5のシリンダー形状はＭ４系と違います。
構成パーツや仕組みはほぼ同じなのですが...


分解やメンテ方法はＭ４系と同じなのでここまでくればメンテは簡単です。

今回の個体は液体状のグリスが大量に塗布されていたので夏場等の気温
上昇時に初速が想定より上がってしまったのかもしれません。
可能な限り、純正のシリンダグリスをご使用下さい。

Tactical Car Stock Wrench


Ｍ４系を使っている人なら一度はキャッスルナットの緩みで困った事あるのでは？

専用工具が無いと締めるのも緩めるのも結構苦労します。

また汎用工具ではナットに傷がつく事もあります。

Rail Vise Assembly For AR-15 Cleaning and Maintenance


The Rail Vise was developed to solve a very specific problem. All other gun cleaning and maintenance stands
or cradles are designed hold traditional rifles. Rifles with a wooden stock firmly attached to the action and barrel.
These traditional cradles clamp or hold the buttstock and the barrel or foregrip.

The AR-15 rifle is quite different in that the Upper and Lower Receivers must be separated to perform any cleaning.
With the rifle disassembled in this fashion, both the Upper and Lower Receiver are a bit unwieldy and not readily
grasped for cleaning.

With the creation of the Rail Vise, is is now possible to hold the AR-15 rifle in a secure, “rock solid” position
resulting in total access to those areas of the rifle that require detailed cleaning.

The Rail Vise clamps on the Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) to hold the rifle in a secure and stable manner.
In the photos you can see the Rail Vise being used to hold the Upper Receiver by the rail and the Lower
Receiver by using the Mag Well Adapter.

The Rail Vise Assembly consists of the standard four piece polymer Rail Vise Kit components plus a black
anodized aluminum extrusion Platform. Our long aluminum platform provides two full length channels that
accept 1/4"-20 hex head bolts that make it fully adjustable for both long and short barreled firearms.

Also in our standard parts is the Adapter Rail which replicates the Picatinny Rail on your rifle, allowing you
to mount optics to the Rail Vise for cleaning or battery changes. Included with the Rail Vise is the Adapter Rail.
This component is inserted into the Charging Handle slot and allows the Rail Vise to be used on those rifles
that do not have a Picatinny rail or where the rail is occupied with optics.

The main clamping vise allows for quick changes from configuration to configuration simply by flipping the
clamping lever open, inserting the appropriate insert and flipping the lever closed. Configurations can easily
be changed in under one minute.

本格的なメンテナンススタンドです。

今回のメンテで当初のメイン目的は初速調整との事でした。
思ったより初速が出ており調整出来ないかとの事だったのですがこの寒い時期に
計測してみると90-92m/secで凶悪な初速と言う程でもありませんでした。
但し、使っているグリスによっては気温が30度近い環境で使うとそれなりの初速に
なるやもしれません。

出元がハッキリしてない個体だったので初速調整とセレクター修理のかねて預かっ
たのでセレクターの修理後にシリンダをＯＨする事にしました。

抜き出したシリンダを見て気になったのがセクタギアーと接する部分に青白いグリス
がコテコテに盛ってます。こんな状態のシリンダーは初めて見ました。

もちろんギアＢＯＸ側にも見える範囲に青白いグリスがタンマリ付着してます。
盛り上がって付着していた部分はとりあえずこそげ落として清掃しました。


あと、少し気になった部分はシリンダのギア逃げ部分が削れていた点です。
本来ギアと接触してはならない部分が削れています。試運転の際にシリンダをシッカリ
固定せず廻してしまいシリンダがズレてセクタギアと接触したっぽい感じです。
これは放置していても害は無いのでそのままにして先に進みます。

分解した後に一番注意が必要な部分が黄色で囲んだセンサー棒です。
神経質に扱わないと かなり高い確率 で破損します。
一見折れて無い様でも内部が折れている事もあるので注意が必要です。
この棒が折れると最終弾での動作停止しません。

「え？別に構わないじゃん。。。」　まぁ一応は使えますけどね。

テイクダウン後にロアーの置き場所に困り伏せて置く際に折る人多い様です。
またアッパーと組み合わせる際に引っかけて折る事例も良く聞きます。

私はこのパーツは消耗品感覚で考えてますので常に在庫してます...
棒だけ交換出来る訳では無く基盤単位なのでご注意ください。



今回のＴＷ５はどういう訳かセレクターがセミ/３バーストにしかならずフルのポジションに
まで動かない症状が出ています。

過去、セレクターギアの欠けが原因で同様の事象が起きた事あったのでそこを疑いパー
ツを用意して臨んだのですが原因は 単なるセレクターの組込ミス でした(汗)


グリップ底板を見るとシリアルＮＯ刻印が無かったのでチャレンジキットの様です。

組立直後からこんな状態だったのか何かの拍子にフルにならなくなったのかまでは
不明ですが...もう少し早く一報下されば当店購入品で無くても修理出来たのに残念
です。

現行のTA01ECOSはミニドット部分が黒ですがこのECOSはミニドット部分やミニドットマウント
ベース部分もTANカラーで全体的に統一感があります。
また、TRIJICON製のミニドットよりDocterの方が好きな人も多い様でRMRのマウントをDocter
用マウントに変更してまでDocterを搭載しなおす人も居ます。

L3 Eotech EXPS3シリーズ

EXPSには３シリーズと２シリーズがありＮＶをタンデム配置して使う場合はEXPS３シリーズ
を使う必要あります。

EXPSは外観上で大きく分けてＴＡＮカラーと黒がありますが、いかにも最近の軍用っぽい
TANカラーを選ぶか何に載せても似合う(当たり障りない)黒を選ぶかが最初の難関です。
出来れば両方買って戴くに越した事はありませんが...

次に上にも書いたEXPS３にするかEXPS２にするかですが対して新品価格は変わらない
ので将来的にＮＶ運用をする予定が無くてもEXPS３をお奨めします。
リセールもそちらの方が良いかと...　参考までに当店ではEXPS２は扱ってません。

次に悩むのはEXPS３－０、３－２、３－４のどれを選べば良いかです。
(もう、EXPS２は完全に外してしまってますがEXPS２を買いたい場合は３を２に読み替えて下さい)

3-0とか3-4とか小学校のクラス分けみたいですが差はレティクルのドットの違いになります。

これがEXPS3-0のレティクルパターンでサークル内部にドットが一個あります。


EXPS3-2になるとドット が縦に二個並んでいます。


更にEXPS3-4になると４個のドットが縦並びに出現します。

賢明な ど当ブログの読者なら分かると思いますが銃を撃つ際は標的までの距離によって弾道
を調整する目的で銃を上下に傾ける(弾道曲線にしたがって)必要がありますが通常は照準器
に付いているウィンテージ/エレヴェーションノブを使いその作業を行います。
距離によってエレヴェーションノブを調整する訳です。

もちろんEOTECHにもその調整ノブが付いていますが咄嗟に複数の違う距離を撃つ場合等は
いちいちノブを回して調整している暇ありません。

上手な人や慣れている人は基準点(例えば100ｍ)にセンタードットを合わせておき300ｍを
撃つ場合は100ｍ用ドットを標的より少し上目に置いて撃つ(弾道交差点は通常２点あるので
銃や弾によっては逆の場合もあり)等の調整を頭の中で行いますが慣れて無い場合や慣れて
いても遠近を交互に撃たなければならない場合は標的距離によって複数ドットを表示する方が
素早く正確に射撃できるわけです。

通常のスコープであれば縦十字線にメモリがありそれを読んで弾道予測し照準を合わせられ
ますがダットサイトの場合、十字線のあるモノはほとんど無く(私の知る範囲では)シューター
連中は自分の経験と勘でセンタードットからの補正を行っている訳です。

そんな補佐をしてくれるのが複数ドットを表示してくれる3-2や3-4です。
ただ、無倍率のドットサイトで200～300ｍとかを撃つのは無理があるので無倍率なら3-2程度
でも充分で3-4はEXPSにタンデムでｘ3やｘ4等のブースターを搭載して使う前提と思われます。

トイガンで3-4が必要か否かと聞かれると辛いですがそんな事を言い出すなら「こんなバカ高い
実物のEOTECHなんか要るかよ！！」って議論になるので、当方と致しましてはかなり拙い
展開になります・・・

まぁそんな感じでEOTECHを楽しんでみて下さい。
色や機種も含めると結構なバリエーションがあるので全ての在庫を持ってる店は少ないと思い

久しぶりにＴＷ５のメンテナンスが入りました。


Ｍ４系を弄る事が多いので偶にＴＷ５のメンテが来ると新鮮です。
ただ、Ｍ４系の様に一瞬でテイクダウン出来ないので面倒な事は確かです。

まず、テイクダウンに先立ちストックを外しますがストックピンを抜いた後、注意しないとアッパー
の自重で勝手にテイクダウンしてしまう事があり下手すると配線にダメージを与えます。
ロアーから来ている配線がアッパーを抜けてストックに行っているのでその配線に負荷を掛けな
い様にテイクダウンします。完全にテイクダウンする前に配線のコネクターは抜きましょう。

NOVESKE製　Key-Mod用フラッシュライトマウント

KeyModは嫌いなんて言っておられない程普及して来ましたねぇ

URX4もどうも好きになれなかったのですが一本組んでみるとなかなかシンプルで
良い事に気付きました。

KeyModはレールが売れた上にKeyMod用アクセサリーも一緒に出るので(今だけ
でしょうけど)ショップとしては嬉しいです(笑)

ただ、樹脂のレールカバーは「パチンッ」って押し込んで固定なので怖くて試しに装着
するとか出来ません。。。どうやって外すんでしょうね。

今回のライトマウントはネジ固定なので緩めたら外れるますが弾性を利用して固定す
る樹脂パーツは良く考えて装着しないと着脱には苦労しそうな予感します。
