Every feature of the ACOG's (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) mechanical and optical design
was designed for use with the M16 family of firearms. This sighting system was engineered for
a single purpose; to provide increased hit potential in all lighting conditions - without relying upon
failure-prone batteries.
The ACOG is engineered upon a roof prism design for maximum optical precision and enhanced
reliability. These sights combine traditional, precise long-range accuracy with rapid close-quarters
target acquisition.
Although the ACOGs have many features which are very advantageous for military use, they're
equally well adapted for sporting and tactical applications. These compact telescopic sights are
internally adjustable, with tritium illuminated reticles for use in low-light scenarios.
The 4x32 ACOG Riflescope delivers long-range and CQB adaptability. This level of flexibility hands
the operator a necessary edge when the stakes are high, and the terms of engagement are uncertain.
While the ACOG can be employed for precision long-range shooting, room-clearing, close-quarters
MOUT engagements, or any high-stress fast-breaking action that requires split-second target acquisition
will be handled with surgical precision by the Docter.

現行のTA01ECOSはミニドット部分が黒ですがこのECOSはミニドット部分やミニドットマウント
ベース部分もTANカラーで全体的に統一感があります。
また、TRIJICON製のミニドットよりDocterの方が好きな人も多い様でRMRのマウントをDocter
用マウントに変更してまでDocterを搭載しなおす人も居ます。

L3 Eotech EXPS3
Eotech has done it again by making the best even better. Offering true 2 eyes open shooting,
a transversly mounted lithium 123 battery, and 7 mm raised base offering iron sight access,
the new Extreme-XPS (EXPS) features easy to adjust side buttons and an adjustable, locking,
quick detach lever for easy attachment and removal.

◾Single transverse 123 battery to reduce sight length
◾Shortened base only requires at most 2 3/4 inch of rail space
◾Battery cap and latch are eliminated and replaced with a simple O-ring, tethered cap; better

L3 Eotech EXPS3シリーズ
EXPSには３シリーズと２シリーズがありＮＶをタンデム配置して使う場合はEXPS３シリーズ
を使う必要あります。
EXPSは外観上で大きく分けてＴＡＮカラーと黒がありますが、いかにも最近の軍用っぽい
TANカラーを選ぶか何に載せても似合う(当たり障りない)黒を選ぶかが最初の難関です。
出来れば両方買って戴くに越した事はありませんが...
次に上にも書いたEXPS３にするかEXPS２にするかですが対して新品価格は変わらない
ので将来的にＮＶ運用をする予定が無くてもEXPS３をお奨めします。
リセールもそちらの方が良いかと... 参考までに当店ではEXPS２は扱ってません。
次に悩むのはEXPS３－０、３－２、３－４のどれを選べば良いかです。
(もう、EXPS２は完全に外してしまってますがEXPS２を買いたい場合は３を２に読み替えて下さい)
3-0とか3-4とか小学校のクラス分けみたいですが差はレティクルのドットの違いになります。
これがEXPS3-0のレティクルパターンでサークル内部にドットが一個あります。
EXPS3-2になるとドット が縦に二個並んでいます。
更にEXPS3-4になると４個のドットが縦並びに出現します。
賢明な ど当ブログの読者なら分かると思いますが銃を撃つ際は標的までの距離によって弾道
を調整する目的で銃を上下に傾ける(弾道曲線にしたがって)必要がありますが通常は照準器
に付いているウィンテージ/エレヴェーションノブを使いその作業を行います。
距離によってエレヴェーションノブを調整する訳です。
もちろんEOTECHにもその調整ノブが付いていますが咄嗟に複数の違う距離を撃つ場合等は
いちいちノブを回して調整している暇ありません。
上手な人や慣れている人は基準点(例えば100ｍ)にセンタードットを合わせておき300ｍを
撃つ場合は100ｍ用ドットを標的より少し上目に置いて撃つ(弾道交差点は通常２点あるので
銃や弾によっては逆の場合もあり)等の調整を頭の中で行いますが慣れて無い場合や慣れて
いても遠近を交互に撃たなければならない場合は標的距離によって複数ドットを表示する方が
素早く正確に射撃できるわけです。
通常のスコープであれば縦十字線にメモリがありそれを読んで弾道予測し照準を合わせられ
ますがダットサイトの場合、十字線のあるモノはほとんど無く(私の知る範囲では)シューター
連中は自分の経験と勘でセンタードットからの補正を行っている訳です。
そんな補佐をしてくれるのが複数ドットを表示してくれる3-2や3-4です。
ただ、無倍率のドットサイトで200～300ｍとかを撃つのは無理があるので無倍率なら3-2程度
でも充分で3-4はEXPSにタンデムでｘ3やｘ4等のブースターを搭載して使う前提と思われます。
トイガンで3-4が必要か否かと聞かれると辛いですがそんな事を言い出すなら「こんなバカ高い
実物のEOTECHなんか要るかよ！！」って議論になるので、当方と致しましてはかなり拙い
展開になります・・・
まぁそんな感じでEOTECHを楽しんでみて下さい。

ＴＷ５のメンテナンス その1
久しぶりにＴＷ５のメンテナンスが入りました。
Ｍ４系を弄る事が多いので偶にＴＷ５のメンテが来ると新鮮です。
ただ、Ｍ４系の様に一瞬でテイクダウン出来ないので面倒な事は確かです。
まず、テイクダウンに先立ちストックを外しますがストックピンを抜いた後、注意しないとアッパー
の自重で勝手にテイクダウンしてしまう事があり下手すると配線にダメージを与えます。
ロアーから来ている配線がアッパーを抜けてストックに行っているのでその配線に負荷を掛けな
い様にテイクダウンします。完全にテイクダウンする前に配線のコネクターは抜きましょう。
